Editor's Corner
As summer winds down, and health care reform heats up, the opportunity to rethink health and move beyond a medical intervention model an on to offering prevention incentives continues….
The Institute for Functional Medicine, recently wrote a position paper on “21st Century Medicine”, capturing the direction necessary for our health care system to go to” insure” the health of all… and for future generations. This document explores and explains the potential benefits from a plan that supports healthier lifestyles and ultimately long term savings in both financial cost and human suffering. Read the document in its entirety.
Also included in this month’s Newsletter is information on the growing national support, by individuals and by sponsors of health care reform policy. Hopefully, change is in the air.
Meanwhile, locally, to promote wellness and integrative health care practices, the Yellow Courtyard and the Earthrose Institute are collaborating with our acupuncture community and a broad base of practitioners of the healing arts to provide an educational and experiential event at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, October 3rd and 4th.
This community event is the vision of Dan Nevel, a longtime local Acupuncture Physician whose intention is to inform our community of the benefits of diverse healing practices and traditions that enhance and support one’s health and well being. We are proud to collaborate on this community event.
In addition, Yellow Courtyard will hold a celebratory network gathering for our Practitioner Network on Saturday evening, August 3rd at the Biltmore. For more info: Attach link to Flyer
